چکیده

With flooding and other weather events intensifying, more cost-effective erosion flood control systems are needed. Vetiver (Chrysopogon zizanioides (L.) Roberty), is part of an arsenal sustainable, low cost, green infrastructure tools to reduce the risks erosion, landslides, flooding. This study investigates vetiver its broader application transportation planning. Based on a literature review interviews with experts, as tool summarized. An evaluation framework was devised in which plant’s effectiveness stabilize hillsides manage stormwater investigated. applied recent highway case where could have been used. While site-specific conditions roadway requirements critical mitigation tool, additional pathways understanding, acceptance, use support resilience requires convergence engineering, design, planning disciplines. Estimation of Reconstruction Cost and Traffic Functionality Relating to Roadway Transportation Lifelines after Natural Disasters

Earthquakes are among those natural hazards which may lead to disruption in the function of arterial traffic routes. Road networks are particularly vulnerable, due to their geographical dispersion, extensive functions and structural reliance on favourable geophysical conditions. Traffic functionality after a natural disaster and the repair/rehabilitation cost of roads are crucial considerations...
